At Bain, we know that what sets us apart is our people. It takes extraordinary teams to produce creative, groundbreaking results – teams as diverse as the play of colors when sunlight passes through a prism: each one by itself, vivid and clear, but nevertheless in harmony and boundless. As Bainies, we passionately believe in the value of promoting diversity and inclusion – both at our firm and in society. If you feel the same way and you want to make a difference, join our event Prismatic.

Spend two eventful days in Vienna, discussing with you how diversity and inclusion can enrich our abilities and work outcomes. Enjoy an exciting mix of inspirational talks and workshops, fun activities, and networking. Receive thought-provoking input that will help you move ahead on your way to becoming an outstanding leader in the field of diversity and inclusion and experience first-hand how working at Bain feels like.

Let’s explore the spectrum together and celebrate its diversity.

In the early afternoon of the first day, we’ll welcome you and give a brief overview of what we do at Bain and what sets us apart. After that, you’ll meet your team for the event and start working on a case study together. A DE&I (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) expert will talk about what organizations can do to create a diverse and inclusive workplace, sharing exclusive Bain insights on the topic. At dinner the same evening, we’ll experience diversity and inclusion in a special way. (Be surprised!)

The second day is all about you: External diversity trainers will help you identify, shape and implement your own personal DE&I “micro-mission”. After an active lunch break outdoors – with scenic views! – you’ll go back to putting yourself in the shoes of a Bainie. Guided by our consultants, you will work on various aspects of a client strategy project: You’ll assess their DE&I status quo, define appropriate metrics, and, together with your team, devise strategies to lead the client into a more diverse and inclusive future. Just “like in real life,” you’ll then jointly present your team’s work results to the client. In the evening, a networking dinner with the whole crew will give you plenty of opportunities to revisit what you’ve experienced during the day, and let all the new learnings sink in.

The morning of the last day will be dedicated to wrapping up our take-aways from the events, and answering all remaining questions, before we say our goodbyes.

We’d like to invite outstanding university students – all fields – from the 4th semester (Bachelor level) onwards, as well as PhD students and young professionals. You should be open-minded and, demonstrably, be or have been committed to driving change in society. Of course you should also have an interest in learning about entry and career opportunities at Bain’s locations in Germany, Austria or Switzerland.

You can apply by August 07, 2022, using our online application platform .

Please include the following:

- your CV including final grades (Abitur/ Matura and university)

- some details on what you have done before to drive positive change in society (for example, through social engagement)

- a brief essay (250 words max) with your thoughts on the question: What does successful inclusion look like to you?
(This can be a personal experience, a story, or your personal theory. What matters is that you choose a topic close to your heart.)
Please understand that we can only consider applications that are complete as described.

Documents can be in German or English.
